ARE
YOU LOOKING FOR JUNIOR STAFF?
PERHAPS
Training for Care HAS
JUST THE PERSON
In addition to our SVQ courses, we run a twice yearly “Get
Ready for Work” course for school leavers interested in working in the
adult care or childcare sectors. The aim of this six month programme is
to prepare the students for progression into a job as a care or nursery
assistant and on to the SVQ Level 2.
Students who have proved that
they have the necessary ability and commitment move* into a 4 week
trial SVQ placement with a suitable care/childcare employer who can
offer them a job at the end of the trial if it is a success. The job
must be linked to the young person undertaking the SVQ Level 2 with TfC
(please see the enclosed publicity). *At course month 5, either January
or July.
The
students will have completed two 8 week work experience placements in
different types of care settings as well as a one day per week tutorial
programme covering the essential basic knowledge and skills to equip
them to work in adult and early years settings.
If
you have a vacancy coming up or would be interested in finding out more
